What it Means to be a REALTOR

A REALTOR is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.

Code of Ethics

The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORS® since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:

Loyalty to clients;

Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients;

Cooperation with competitors;

Truthfulness in statements and advertising; and non-interference in exclusive relationships that other REALTORS® have with their clients.


To earn a designation, a REALTOR® a real estate agent has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry

Service Area

I assist buyers and sellers in the entire greater Lansing region including East Lansing, Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, Bath, Laingsburg, Dewitt, Grand Ledge, Charlotte, Eaton Rapids, Holt, Mason and all surrounding areas.

Personal Mission Statement

A lifelong East Lansing resident, I reside locally with my elementary-aged son and retired mother. I come from a family of MSU alum, and we are naturally passionate supporters of the MSU and East Lansing athletic programs and communities in general. I have a keen familiarity with particular neighborhoods and knowledge of the local real estate market. I put to use a lifetime of sales experience, and over 6 years as a Realtor in assisting my clients with the acquisition, management and sale of real property. I have a particular focus on residential and investment properties.

The cornerstone of my approach is an ability and desire to understand the unique wants and needs of every client and customer I interact with. This consumer-first approach is greatly nurtured by the ongoing training and resources of the BHHS Tomie Raines family. I work with clients to identify the important steps necessary to achieve their objectives. When considering a purchase, sale or investment of any kind...I provide clients a complete market analysis of comparable properties and market conditions to insure they are equipped with every piece of knowledge to make informed decisions. I assist with the financing and pre-approval process, recommending local lenders to make this a smooth part of the transaction. I support and advise throughout the process of offer, counter-offer, inspection and appraisal. Additionally I possess over 5 years experience in property management here in Mid-Michigan. I work with my clients throughout the transaction, recommending well-respected local contractors and organizations for all interior and exterior renovations, modifications and full-service property management. I take all steps necessary to facility the complete real estate transaction...from initial vision to fruition and everything in between to simplify the process for you.
